We can do Search Engine Optimization SEO with our designed websites

Qhost123.com usesSpamAssassin to tag messages as they pass through our central email server gateways. This page explains how to use those tags to block and/or filter spam so that it does not reach your inbox.

Step 1: Set up your filtering on the Server Level

The first step is to set the server settings to stop SPAM emails before they ever get to your INBOX. This can be done from the Qhost123.com Hosting Control Panel.

Please login towww.Qhost123.com and go to the Mail section (from the horizontal navigation bar at the top go to Mail Info > Mail Manager)

To establish the "Aggressiveness" of SPAM filtering applied to all mailboxes, clik on the Antil-SPAM preferences icon.

You will then see a screen in which you can set the aggressiveness of your SPAM filtering. You can also add members to your WhiteList and Blacklist. We recomment the following settings...

You can adjust these settings over time to block more or less potential incoming SPAM emails.

NOTE: These settings will cause a "bounceback" to the person who sent the original SPAM message. The SPAM will be rejected at the server gateway level and never be sent to your INBOX

SPAM filtering can also be performed on a lower level (once it has already reached your inbox). Qhost123.com provides a Web-Based method of checking your email. This web-based email software is known as "Horde Mail".

By performing the following steps, you can help filter out more emails that may have gotten through the high-level-filters (mentioned above) and reached your INBOX.

Step 1: Login to your Web-Based mailbox

You can log into your Web-Based email by going to www.Qhost123.com and clicking on the "WebMail" link on the right side....

Step 2: OPTIONAL: Filter the received SPAM into a separate folder

  1. After you log into Qhost123.com Webmail, click on theFilters menu item on the left of your screen.

  2. Now click on theNew Rule button.

Step 3: Name and define your rule

  1. Next toRule Name, type in a name for your new rule.
  2. Click next toAll of the following and set the first drop down menu to say:X-Spam-Score, X-Spam-Level, X-Spam-Status
  3. Tab to the next field and make sure it saysContains.
  4. Tab to the third field and type the wordYES.

Your window should now look like this:

Then click "Save".

We also recommend that you setup another rule that looks like this.... (this will automatically remove any email messages that have been tagged as *****SPAM***** in the subject line.

Step 4: Specify what will happen to mail that meets these conditions

  1. In theDo this section, you can either select Deliver to folder or Delete Message Completely .
NOTE: This option is entirely up to you. if you are afraind taht you might miss a message that is a valid message, then you should choose Deliver to folder and this will deliver the message to the folder that you specify. (you should already have a new folder created prior to doing this.. READ BELOW)
  2. To create a new mail folder, Select the "Folders" icon at the top and then chooseCreate Folder from the pull down menu
    .
  3. When prompted, type a name for your folder (for example,Spam)and clickOK.

  4. Important: once you create the new folder, it willnot be automatically selected as your spam destination; you must now go back to the Filters section and choose to have *****SPAM***** email sent to the SPAM folder. For Example....

or you can choose to do this....

  5. When finishes, ClickSave.

Step 5: Apply and Save your filter

  1. Click onApply Filters to apply your new rule to any existing mail.
  2. Make sure that the option for "Display detailed notification when each filter is applied?" is unchecked. Then click onSave Settings.

What happens next

  1. Filtering a large number of messages can take significant time so, by default, Horde does not apply your filters automatically when you first log in or when you subsequently view your Inbox.By default, new mail will not be filtered until you manually run your filters again.

    To run your filters manually:
TheFilter icon is located next to theInbox heading. It is the second icon from the left and looks a little like a funnel. If you place your mouse over the icon for a moment it should display a descriptive message, " Apply filters on Inbox " .

To specify that your filters should run automatically:
You can specify that your filters should run automatically each time you log in or redisplay your Inbox by following the instructions below. This may significantly delay the display of your mailbox each time you log in or return to the Inbox from other functions in Horde.Delays might range from several seconds to a minute or even more while the filters run -- the more messages being filtered, the longer the delay -- but some people may find this preferable to having to run the filters manually (which would take just as long, but would be only at a time of your own choosing). The delays incurred by running your filters automatically may make Horde seem to run sluggishly.

    1. Select the INBOX from the navigation menue at the left.
    2. Select "Options" from the menu at the top..
    3. The third column to the right should say "Other Options". Go down to the 3rd paragraph and select "Filters".
    4. Configure your options to look like this...
    5. Click the "Save Options" button at the bottom of the screen.

If you later change your mind and decide not to run your filters automatically, you should also go back and reverse the steps just above, i.e., you should change the drop down menu to display "Filter All Messages" instead of "Filter Only Unseen Messages". This will avoid confusion.

  2. If you had chosen toDeliver to folder, your spam mail will NOT be deleted, but it will be moved to the folder you defined (for example, the folder "Spam").

  3. You should check your spam folder every few days and delete the spam. To look in your spam folder, use theFolders button at the top of your Horde screen and then select your "Spam" folder, or use the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.
    • If you notice that any mail in this folder isnot spam, you can rescue it. Select the message and use theMessages To drop-down menu to select a destination folder. Now clickMove to restore it.
    • When you are sure that everything in the Spam folder is really spam, first make sure you are looking at the correct folder, then use theSelect drop-down menu and chooseSelect: All. Finally, use theMark As drop down menu to chooseMark As: Deleted. Finally, click thePurge Deleted link on the right hand side of your mailbox window. Goodbye, spam!

We hope this page helps you in your fight against SPAM....
